This film is not new territory for Aardman（アードマン･スタジオ）since for many years Wallace & Gromit（ウォレスとグルミット）were their highlight, but it is also joyful and aimed very much at younger audiences and those seeking silly fun. A Special Cake とくべつな ケーキを ひとつ

"A Special Cake" with my translation has been published this week. The author, being familiar with communal and educational activities and Bibliotherapy, leads projects and workshops integrated with art. She has written lots of artistic and educational books, and this gem also gives the message that it is OK to like different things in a sweet way. The story is told in a repetitive pattern, which helps small children to understand it and predict the next sentence. I sincerely hope both children and adults will enjoy this adorable little gem both in English and German and Japanese enjoying the delicious-looking cakes.

It is a very original and above average action film. The cast has great performances,the fight scenes and choreography were breathtaking, the screenplay is engaging and the ending is a great surprise to the audiences. Ben Affleck（ベン･アフレック）, who is forever linked with his erstwhile partner Matt Damon（マット･デイモン）, gets to play both of Damon's most famous roles, a mathematical genius like Will Hunting and a weapons expert, like Jason Bourne, and he delivered the best performance of his career. This movie will stimulate not only intellectuals but action junkies as well.

Rogue One A Star Wars Story ローグ･ワン／スター･ウォーズ･ストーリー

Some would feel this movie is more of a war drama than the sci-fi adventure that might be expected from a Star Wars story. It is a bit darker and grittier, and the main characters are traumatized and made homeless by a brutal civil war waged by an oppressive Empire, still it will be good for die-hard SW fans. It had everything a SW fan could wish for. Good old characters, good old places, bold CGI, and an overall good old SW feeling.

"Lucy the Cat Beauty and the Feast" with my translation was published last weekend. This is a picture book written from such an adorable cat (Sacred Birman), Lucy's point of view with lots of humor. Lucy tells us how she takes care of her beauty and health in the 7th series. We can find her sense of values for beauty and health which is just like that of humans such as her favorite tuna taste toothpaste. I sincerely hope both children and adults will enjoy this very charming Lucy's world both in English and in Japanese.
