Former Hermione, Emma Watson（エマ･ワトソン）leads the film as she is hired to work for the world's largest and most powerful tech and social media company while a creepy fact, i.e. a large percentage of humanity could be tricked by propaganda so easily, is well shown in the charismatic leader of the organization played by Tom Hanks（トム･ハンクス）, who is smart, funny, down-to-earth, very likable,  such a charismatic presence, and was the perfect choice for the role.

Jungle ジャングル ギンズバーグ19日間の軌跡

Yossi Ghinsberg（ヨッシー･ギンズバーグ）played by Daniel Raddcliffe（ダニエル･ラドクリフ）trades out the Dark Forest of Hogwarts for the Amazon. In his Mr Potter days he was ingenuous, but there was a glimmer of something in this film. The tale is told from the perspective of Yossi, an Israeli explorer. The cast is actually very good, and the movie is extremely dependent on Radcliffe's performance which is outstanding.

The author, being a math teacher for 35 years in high school, and a mother of four children (twins - a son & daughter) and grandmother of five (twin grandchildren - a boy & girl) has written a lot of books for which she has used her imagination on her experiences with the twins. This adorable gem was written under the theme of importance of food and good manners. I sincerely hope both children and adults can enjoy this book in English and Japanese.

Mother! マザー！

The film is a true work of art, displaying us and our collective, destructive behavior right in our faces. We are killing ourselves and our mothers, which harsh and radical yet artful. The entire film is gripping, horrifying, heartbreaking, and absolutely wonderful. The acting is seriously award worthy. Javier Bardem（ハビエル･バルデム）is absolutely wonderful, and Jennifer Lawrence（ジェニファー･ローレンス）'s performance is absolutely top notch, so is Michelle Pfeiffer（ミシェル･ファイファー）. Watching this in a theater would be like being in a bomb shelter while the world ended.

Kittens' story time おはなしこねこの会 2018.03

I joined "Kittens' story time", a read-aloud session hosted by "The Wildcat Translation Club of Children's Books" today, and was lucky enough to be able to read aloud some wonderful picture books in front of such adorable little book lovers at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten children's books section, such a hear-warming and beautiful urban oasis in the middle of Tokyo. Many many thanks for such a wonderful opportunity. Good boys and girls who love picture books, please come and join us. They are holding their regular sessions every month at Junkudo Ikebukuro Honten and Maruzen Marunouchi Honten.
本日は「やまねこ翻訳クラブ」の読み聞かせ会「おはなしこねこの会」に参加いたしまして、ジュンク堂池袋本店の児童書フロアにて、可愛らしい絵本好きな子どもたちの前でステキな絵本を読ませていただきました。東京のど真ん中にこんなにも心温まる美しい都会のオアシスがあったのですね。すばらしい良縁をありがとうございます。絵本大好きっ子なよい子の皆さま、よかったら遊びにいらしてくださいね。ジュンク堂池袋本店と丸善丸ノ内本店にて毎月開催されてますよ。

Paterson パターソン

It's a film about how people choose to live their lives and can find beauty in the routines. Paterson, a bus driver in Paterson New Jersey, adheres to a simple routine facing each day with joy and love for poetry while his wife, Laura's world is ever changing, and new dreams come to her almost daily, but Paterson loves Laura and she loves him. The on-screen chemistry between Adam Driver（アダム･ドライバ―）and Golshifteh Farahani（ゴルシフテ･ファラハニ）is critical to the film, and they are outstanding, alluring and entirely convincing.
